Laqlaq is an Istanbul-based brand that draws its strength from Anatolia, which embodies the unique colors of every century and place. Inspired by our name, we believe that conversation and storytelling are among the most powerful bridges connecting people. For this reason, we pursue all cultures that have traversed the Anatolian geography; we re-interpret the traces hidden in motifs, patterns, and paintings with today's design language.
While bringing traditional craftsmanship together with the elegance of pure silk, cotton, and wool, we incorporate Anatolia's visual memory, motifs, narratives, and the geometry of its stones into our designs. Each pattern is not a copied motif but a design decision that is drawn, erased, and redrawn. All designs in our collections are living Anatolian stories that you will carry around your neck, on your shoulder, or in your pocket.
In a world where mass production standardizes everything, we deeply believe in human labor. The edges of our products are individually and patiently hand-rolled. This subtle detail symbolizes not our brand's pursuit of perfection, but the human aesthetic and originality within imperfection.
While we consider mutual aid to be the most valuable element of this region's cultural heritage, we also aim to pay tribute to all the cultures before us that made solidarity an inseparable part of their daily lives. Ultimately, we are the children of people who established a hospital named Gurabahane-i Laklakan for injured storks and all migratory birds, and our name is just one of the shares we received from this heritage.
